Obituary of Zora Singh KHAIRA

Zora Singh Khaira, beloved husband of Prem Kaur Khaira of Calgary, passed away with family by his side on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at the age of 70 years. He was born on December 26, 1945 in the village of Gidderwindi, District of Jagraon, Punjab, India. Zora was the youngest child of Nand Singh Khaira and Jangir Kaur Khaira. Aside from spending time with his grandchildren, he enjoyed being outdoors. Zora was known for his love of gardening, cycling and practicing yoga. He valued his time at home, helping family with household chores and resolved to never complain. Zora was the patriarch of a large family and is survived by his loving wife Prem Kaur and his four children. He was the adored grandfather to four grandchildren who will also miss him dearly. Funeral Services will be held at CALGARY CREMATORIUM CHAPEL, 3219 – 4th Street N.W., (within the valley of Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. Prayer services will follow immediately afterwards at the Dashmash Cultural Center.
