Obituary of Donna ANHORN

Donna Delores Anhorn passed away June 13, 2013 peacefully in her sleep with her daughter and son by her side. Donna was the oldest daughter of Helen and Emil Anhorn of Calgary, Alberta. She was survived by her three children, Kary Patterson, Trevor Patterson and Amanda Anhorn and the love of her life Gary Elsasser; his children Carrie (Glen) Moman, Barb (Lou) Monahan, Jay Brinker, Gary Elsasser and Gord (Laura) Elsasser. She also had six grandchildren Kaelen, David, Tabatha, Christina, Kascity and Sybastien, one great-grandchild Collista; and Norman the cat. Donna grew up with two brothers, Harvey Anhorn and Bradley Anhorn. She was predeceased by Bradley in 2010. Donna is also survived by her four sisters, Linda Larson, Bonnie (Ross) Shepherd, Brenda (Dan) Sheppard and Charlene (Calvin) Beitz. Donna and Gary spent many happy years on their acreage in the community of Simons Valley and also many years in and around the Edmonton area. The couple returned to Calgary in 2009 to spend time with her large extended family. She spent the last 3 years at the Monterey Nursing Home and was very much appreciative of all the staff over the years. Donna, we will always miss you and love you very much. Funeral Services will be held at CALGARY CREMATORIUM CHAPEL, 3219 – 4th Street N.W., (within the valley of Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Thursday, June 20, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. Graveside Service and Reception to follow.
