Obituary of Edith Catto LUMLEY

Edith passed away unexpectedly but peacefully early Thursday morning, January 19, 2017 at Cedars Villa Care Facility, after a lengthy battle with dementia. Edith was born in New Deer, Scotland and moved to the Langdon area in 1927 with her family. She spent her working years at the 4X Bakery, then Zellers downtown and Forest Lawn. She is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, great-grandnephews, and long time friend, Alex Dirienzo. Edith was predeceased by her ex-husband Lawrence; son Robert; parents Alexander and Mary Pirie; sister Agnes; brother-in-law Bert; brother John; sister-in-law Jessie; niece Margaret Anne Smith; niece Dianne and her husband Bob. Edith's cremated remains will be interred in her parent's plot at Queen’s Park Cemetery in a private ceremony.
