Obituary of Alice Margaret AITCHISON

It is with sadness that Alice's family announce her passing on January 19, 2017 at the age of 94 years. Alice will be lovingly remembered by Andy, her husband of 62 years; her daughters and sons-in-law Sandy Aitchison and Dave Chromy, and Leslie and Bert Gruendel; grandchildren Leanna, Katy and Mike; her sisters Marion Yeske and Evelyn Isaac; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Joe and Maggie Bear; her sister Gladys Anderson, and her brother Henry Bear. Alice grew up in Saskatchewan, and served with the Royal Canadian Air Force Women’s Division in WWII. She worked for General Motors in Regina and Lethbridge; and for Alberta Wheat Pool in Calgary until retirement. She enjoyed travelling with her husband to Las Vegas, Hawaii, Scotland, as well as going on Caribbean cruises. She treasured time with family and friends. She also had a special heart for all her four-legged friends. Family would like to thank everyone at Chartwell Eau Claire Care Residence and Bethany Calgary for the loving care she received. At Alice’s request, there will be no funeral service. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
