Obituary of Jon Gay BEATTIE

BEATTIE – Jon Gay October 16, 1943 – Bassano, Alberta January 21, 2017 – Calgary, Alberta Jon was born to the late Harold and Ida (Bartsch) Beattie on October 16, 1943, in Bassano, Alberta, and passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 21, 2017, in Calgary, Alberta. He leaves to mourn his passing sisters, Judy Copley, Susan (Dan) O’Connor and Laura Beattie; his brother, Donald (Bonnie) Beattie; numerous nieces and nephews; special friends, Bill and Tess Bewick; and numerous extended family. He was predeceased by his sister and brother-in-law, Lynn and Russ Clark. At Jon’s request, there will be no formal service. Family will gather to celebrate his life and interment will take place later this spring. If friends so desire, donations may be made in Jon’s memory to the Sheldon M.
