Obituary of Jeune Ruth STEWART

Jeune passed away peacefully in Calgary on Sunday, January 22, 2017 at the age of 87 years. Born on a farm outside of Melfort, Saskatchewan Jeune retained the farming ethic of hard work her entire life. She was a mother and homemaker first but worked for the Calgary School Board until she retired in 1994. She had a thirst for life and was a vibrant personality that always attracted people. She was a bronze medallion swimmer, speed skater, skier, golfer, painter, world traveller and a fabulous cook. She remained a very close companion and supporter of her sons until the end. She is survived by her three loving sons, Will, Craig (Natalie) and Leigh; her sisters, Roberta (Bertie) and Heather; her brother Guy; and her grandchildren, Paulette, Mitchell, Charlotte and Shannon. She was predeceased by her husband Bill Stewart in 1982.
