Obituary of Navdeep Singh GHALI

It is with profound shock and sadness that we share the passing of our dear son, husband, father, uncle, and brother Navdeep (Nav) Singh Ghali after a brief, but courageous battle with cancer. A native Calgarian, Nav was born a high achiever and entertainer. From playing Santa in Grade 1, to being the class clown in every grade, he was an honours student, achieved numerous scholarships, moonlighted as a wrestling reporter, and completed his Bachelor’s Degree (Hons.) and MBA from the University of Calgary. The last few years, his professional career as a leader and manager was taking shape and he spent the past year touring and performing his comedy act throughout Alberta. The immeasurable impact he made on one and all, in such a short-time, has definitely made the world a better place and he will be dearly missed. He is survived by his wife of five years, Simaran; his daughter Aradhana, mother Baljit, brother Sunny (Jesse), and his nephews Kahrun and Kabier. He was predeceased by his father, Gurbax. Funeral Services will be held at CALGARY CREMATORIUM CHAPEL, 3219 – 4th Street N.W., (within the valley of Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. followed by closing prayers at the Gurdwara, 81st Street and 7th Avenue S.W. (Old Banff Coach Road), Calgary, AB.
