Obituary of Clarence Leonard LACOMBE

Clarence “Crafty” Lacombe passed away on Friday, April 7, 2017 at the age of 82 years. In the early years he worked for the City of Calgary. In the later years of his career up to his retirement he was a union representative with the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE). Crafty was a very active member of the labour movement. He was president and chairman of several boards and councils within Alberta. Crafty had many interests. He was very fond of Marilyn Monroe, politics, and debating. He enjoyed golfing, playing cards and curling. He was an avid Detroit Red Wings fan. Clarence is survived by his children Karen (John) Hines, Carla (Doug) Boland, and Ron Lacombe; his grandchildren; his great-grandchildren; as well as his brother Melvin Lacombe. Funeral Services will be held at CALGARY CREMATORIUM CHAPEL, 3219 – 4th Street N.W., (within the valley of Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service will take place at Briar Ridge Cemetery, BC on Friday, April 21, 2017 at 2:00pm Alberta Time.
