Obituary of Errol Fredrick SYPHER
Errol Sypher passed away on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at the age of 68 years, after a prolonged illness due to complications from diabetes.
He loved to hunt and fish, play baseball and hockey; and he was also very interested in the arts, music and history. His diverse interests led him to a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology, from the University of Waterloo.
During university, he married Shane. After graduation, the couple made their way west in an old “Ford” pickup truck to find work. For a few years, it was a series of diverse jobs for Errol and more university courses in IT at the University of Calgary. Eventually, he found employment with the Alberta Government in Computing Services and stayed there until he retired in 2010.
Errol will be dearly missed by his loving wife, Shane; extended clan, especially his sister Patricia Pieters of Delhi, Ontario; great-nephews Marshall Minard, Jake Jellis, Aiden, Liam and Callan Brash of Calgary; great-nieces Patricia and Nataysha; nieces Vicki Minard , Cathy Mathison of Calgary, and Kelly Jellis of Brantford, Ontario.
He was predeceased by his parents Dorothy Lenore and Patrick Peter Sypher; and his brother Edgar Alvin Sypher.
