I just heard the sad news of George's passing as I listened to the Stamps game on the radio. I spent a great deal of time with George in gyms and football fields as our two boys
played basketball and football together. He loved watching his son and namesake grow up and blossom as a player and a young man. George was a fan, a proud and sometimes load fan but you always knew what team George cheered for. The first time I met George he was wearing a Georgia Bulldogs hat. Not knowing who he was, I asked if him if he was a Bulldogs fan. His answer, with a very serious look on his face was, "I AM a Georgia Bulldog.
Rest in peace Bulldog.

Lots of great memories of George even though I was a Stampeder for only a year and a half. He was a great cribbage opponent on the long flights.
Thinking of the family at this time.

Carol and Family.
I'm so sorry about George. His SJC friend, Gary Weed, sent me the obit. I would love to hear from you. I've thought about y'all a lot, but failed to stay in touch. You are in my prayers. Love you.

Carol and all the family:
George will always have a special place in my heart. It was George who got me involved so heavily with the Stampeder Alumni. George, Stan Kaluznik and Bill Goods were always stopping in the office to say hi, see if everything was going okay with me and always thanking me for my support with the alumni golf tournament. I will always remember the look on George's face when I got my new Lexus convertible and took George for a ride with the top down on the car. The next day he stopped in with a football and autographed it for my sports shelf at the office. I have numerous fond memories of these 3 musketeers( thats what I called them) and will hope that they are all now reminiscing too in heaven. Hugs to you all.

I, like Bella Gilbert (Monilaws) was a Jr. and Sr.school friend of Georges. We were a gang who just hung out. I am sure you would recognize names like Al Morris, Ken Girling, Ken McTeer and Mick Gilday, Velma Ferris, Muriel Webster, Myra Bull and Barb MacBeth. Those names bring back a whole lot of great memories. It was fun to see George in later years. My heart goes out to each of George's children. Please take care.
