Obituary of Ronald Joseph SMITH

Ronald Joseph Smith, beloved husband of Kathy Smith passed away suddenly on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at the age of 63 years, at the Peter Lougheed Centre

Ron was born in Chatham, New Brunswick.  He worked at Coca-Cola Canada for thirty-two years. He was an athlete in his youngers years and a sports enthusiast his entire life. Playing poker, watching the horses and sports were just some of his favorite pastimes.  He will be forever missed and loved.

Ron is survived by his beloved wife of forty-two years Kate; his daughters, his princess Kim (Antonio) and his babe Marianne (Gale); granddaughter Gabriella (aka GiGi); sisters Gail (Ed) and Connie; brothers Gregg and Rick; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; as well as godsons Mike, William and Jon, goddaughter Sarah

He was predeceased by his parents Harold and Marion Smith; and brother John.

Funeral Services will be held at CALGARY CREMATORIUM CHAPEL, 3219 – 4th Street N.W., (within the valley of Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Monday, July 24, 2017 at 11:00 a.m.   Reception to follow at the funeral home.  Graveside Service at Queen’s Park Cemetery at 3:00pm.  Please forward condolences through www.calgarycrematorium.com
