Obituary of John JANSSEN "Jack the Painter"

On Wednesday, December 4, 2013, loving husband, father and grandfather, Mr. John ("Jack the Painter") Janssen, of Calgary, passed away in his 82nd year of life. Jack will be deeply missed by his children, Kathy (Bruce), Jack Jr., Laurie (Randy); and his sister Yvonne (Vince). He will also be missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Andrew (Sarah), Stephen, Nathan, Timothy and Jesse; as well as many nieces and nephews. Jack was predeceased by his loving wife Sandy, his brother, Bill, and his sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Reg. To our family, dad was a source of love, humour and integrity. He will always be remembered as a kind, caring and honest man who enjoyed life and the company of his family and many friends. A Memorial Service will be held at CALGARY CREMATORIUM CHAPEL, 3219 – 4th Street N.W., (within the valley of Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Thursday, December 12, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen's Park Cemetery.
