Obituary of Boyd Anthony BURNETT

The Burnett family is saddened to announce the recent passing of their brother Boyd Anthony on October 16, 2017 at the age of 54 years.

Boyd was born in Calgary on October 30, 1962 and grew up in Varsity. He graduated from the SAIT professional cooking program in 1989 and worked in the industry for several years. However, it was music that truly inspired him. As a self-taught drummer, Boyd will be remembered as a gifted and talented musician.  Boyd will also be remembered for his charm, blue-eyed good looks and clever sense of humour.

Our beloved Boydie will be deeply missed by his surviving family, siblings and in-laws Betty and David Watson, Shelley Casserly, Allan Burnett, Dale and Norma-Jean Burnett, Carol Burnett and Frank Buckley; as well as nieces and nephews Laur, Stu, and Dunc Marks, Zach Burnett, Matthew Casserly,  Cail Casserly, Petra Dubnyk, Samantha Burnett and Sarah Burnett.

Boyd was predeceased by his parents Pat and Jim; his sisters Joan Marks, Brenda Burnett and Cecile Kaysoe; his brothers Tref and Murdoch; and dear family friend Cliff Gill.

A private commemoration will be held at a later date.
