I had the pleasure of serving with Dean in Afghanistan in 2009, and rarely have I seen a harder working, more dedicated soldier in our trade. Not only did he spend so much time devoting himself to his task, but he always took time off to talk to those of us who needed guidance, or just an ear to vent to.
I'm very sorry to hear about his passing, and wish condolences to his family in this time.
