Obituary of James Laurier (Jim) SCOLLON

Jim passed away peacefully on December 11, 2013 at the Chinook Hospice in Calgary. He is survived by his wife Marla; his two sons Tyler (Patricia Kesler) and Drew; grandson Pavao; sisters Suzanne Akins and Judy Hannaford (Nigel); niece Gillian Swann (Shaun McGillis); and nephews Matthew Swann and Kelly Akins. Jim was born in High River and spent some of his formative years in Edmonton and Canmore until settling in Calgary in 1959. He graduated from William Aberhart High School, attended the Centre at Naramata and received an MEd from the University of Calgary before embarking on a long and satisfying career as a Counselor with the Calgary Board of Education. He returned to William Aberhart High School to finish his career, retiring in 2002. There will be a private family memorial. Please forward condolences through www.hffs.com. The family would like to thank the staff of Unit 94 Rockyview Hospital and the Chinook Hospice for the care they gave to Jim.
