Obituary of Harold Clifton GOODRICH

Please share a memory of Harold to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Harold Clifton passed away peacefully with loving family by his side.  Harold was also known as Sandy by his family and friends.

Sandy always told the story he remembered the day he was born as if it was yesterday.  Born in Breton in a sheep shed / house he said he even remembered the people who visited him on the day of his birth.

Sandy grew up in the home of his grandparents and went to school with his Uncles and Aunts and then moved home with his Mother when he was ten.  He grew up working on the farm.  He met Daisy and they were married in 1955 and started their family.

Daisy and Harold were joined at the hip.  They did everything together.  Family vacations and celebrations, camping, bowling and golfing were just a few things that kept them busy.  These traditions continued with their children and then their grandchildren!

Harold was a hard worker who was a Jack of all trades.  He worked on the farm, the oil rigs, he was a truck driver, construction worker, cement finisher and repaired overhead doors.  At seventy Harold was still able to outwork most including his grandsons.

One phrase that was the epitome of Harold was that he was loved by everyone.  Children of all ages loved him, and he created special bonds with so many people, but one person that he had a special bond with was his mother-in-law Ivy.

Throughout Harold’s life his sense of humor touched everyone and usually when you least expected it.  It was biting, sharp, teasing and laugh out loud funny.  He is loved by so many and missed by so many!

Sandy is survived by his loving wife of sixty-two years, Daisy; daughter Debbie (Re’all);  son Bill (Diana); grandsons Paul (Christi), Mark (Michelle), Scott, Derek (Kelly), Steven (Amanda), and Justin (Nikkie); great-grandchildren, Declan, Bentley, Connor and Lennon.

Sandy was pre-deceased by his mother Ilene; and brothers, Elvin, Jim and Ivan.
