Obituary of John William George DAVIES

John, beloved husband of Ute Davies, passed away on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at the age of 83 years.

After studying commercial photography in Birmingham, John made numerous transatlantic trips with career stops in Victoria, BC, Kitchener, ON, Bristol, UK, Vancouver, BC, San Francisco, USA, London, UK before settling with his family in Calgary, AB.  He loved his fifty year career in the broadcast industry and all the amazing global friendships that resulted.  John was a generous, kind hearted, intelligent man with a definite British wit. 

John was truly loved and will be deeply missed by his family, his wife of forty-eight years, Ute Davies, whom he treasured above all else; son John Udo Davies (Lana Duke); his grandchildren Morgan Davies and Aidan Davies; along with many dear friends.

According with John’s wishes there will be no formal service.
