Gurdev Kaur Uppal, our beloved Biji passed away peacefully at home on June 19, 2013 at the age of 85. Born in village Mandiani, Punjab, Biji moved to Canada in 1981. She was pre-deceased by her husband S.Bhag Singh Uppal in 1996. She was a mother to four surviving children Surinder, Taljinder ( Ranjit), Baljinder (Chamkaur), Paul (Amandeep). Gurdev was a proud grandmother of 8 and great-grandmother of 3 beautiful children. The Uppal family would like to express utmost gratitude to Alberta Health Services, Home Care, and our caregivers Schang and Guada. Their dedication to providing personalized care was most appreciated.
A Funeral will be held at Calgary Crematorium and Funeral services, 3219-4th street NW on Sunday June 23 at 2:30pm followed by Antim Ardas at Calgary Sikh Society Gurdwara on 81 Street SW.
