Obituary of Violet May JOHNSTON

JOHNSTON – Violet May

October 21, 1919 - January 24, 2018

Our beloved mother and grandmother, Violet May Johnston surrounded by her family, passed peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on Wednesday, January 24, 2018, at Hillcrest Extendicare. Mum was 98.

She has left a huge emptiness in our hearts and will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Judy (Wing), son Barry (Debra) and granddaughters Kyla, Lindsay and Kelsey (Zac). She was predeceased by her beloved husband Arthur in 1997.

Mum lived the last two and a half years at Hillcrest and during that time she made many friends. She was very much loved by the staff and she loved them also. Mum had a huge heart and gentle and kind spirit.

Our family would like to thank all the Hillcrest staff as well as Dr. Hutton and Dr. Reynolds for their wonderful loving care of Mum.

A private family celebration of Mum’s life will be held at a later date.
