Obituary of John HILTON

John Hilton of Calgary passed away on Sunday, June 16 at the age of 84, at Southwood Hospice after a long battle with cancer. John was born in Calgary, the older of two children. He attended Haultain School as well as Western Canada High School, before studying at the University of Alberta. He was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, who enjoyed the company of his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his brother Gerry (Jane); children: Charles (Bonnie), Alan Hilton-Nickel (Darlene), Ron, and John Hilton-O’Brien (Nathalie), and grandchildren: Robert, Kathleen, Geoffrey, Emily, Charlotte, and Aidan. He was predeceased by his wife of 55 years, Mary (née Desson) whom he married on July 2, 1955. Mary passed away in August of 2010.
