Today, out of the blue, Bryon came into my mind... I searched on line to sadly find his obituary. As I follow up on this prompt Bryon will be in my prayers at Mass this evening here in Sydney, Australia. My sympathy to Don and all his family. We haven’t seen or spoken for a very long time.

Don, I am so sorry to hear about Bryon. I remember having so much fun with the two of you with Mikki and your boys. Even though I didn’t spend a lot of time with both of you, I remember how Bryon would tease me and then laugh so hard. He was a good man who knew where his life was meant to be. He will be missed by so, so many hearts that he touched with love. Again Don, I am so very sorry.

It is with sadness and sympathy that I add this condolence today.
I was so sorry to hear of the passing of my vibrant and amazing friend Bryon - I will miss him so dearly.
To my beautiful, kind, and loving friend Don, my hope for you today is that the most painful parts of your grieving process for your beloved Bryon will be partially lightened with the knowledge that you have the support of your family and friends near and far when you may need it the most.
If you need anything please let me know - I am here for you.
To Bryon's siblings and extended family - my condolences for your loss. I had known Bryon since 1993, and I always had a wonderful time chatting with him on a myriad of different issues - he was always so well informed on a large range of topics, it was just great to discuss anything with him. He also treated me to some jars of his award-winning jams and preserves over the years and as a former jam/preserve maker, his were some of the best I ever had.
He will be greatly missed.

It was a privilege to know Bryon over a span of 25 years.
He was a sought-after artist who enhanced the performance of all those he gave his creative genius to.
Bryon’s contributions to the Calgary Stampede Grandstand Show were immense.
He helped every performer - Young Canadians and guests - put their ‘best face forward’.
I am thankful for the ‘colour’ he added to my life and for the friendship we shared.
My thoughts and prayers are with you, Don. You were his inspiration.

Brian was always a delight to be around - I was a client of Gord's at Salon 512 - and on occasion Brian did my makeup. He was so involved in helping others - just a lovely man. My heartfelt condolences to Don.

Sorry to hear of Bryon’s passing, as an original YC I have know Bryon for many years, his smile and laughter was always present. It was always great to run into each other and catch up, usually at Stampede time. It will be difficult to be around the grandstand and know that he is not around the corner doing makeup for the performers. He will be greatly missed by all the alumni attended the 50 year anniversary this year. Rest In Peace Byron!

On behalf of the Membership of I.A.T.S.E. Local 212 I wish to express my sincere condolences to Don Olson and to Bryon's family on the loss of Bryon.
A beloved member of I.A.T.S.E. 212 Bryon will be remembered for his work on such classic motion pictures and episodic works as “Legends of the Fall”, “Lonesome Dove”, “Roughing It” “Dream Keeper” and most recently, “El Chicano”.
Bryon volunteered his time with the Young Canadians and the AIDS walk for life. In 2007, Bryon was the top fundraiser overall for the Calgary region, helping raise $110,00.00 for the cause. Best known for his smiling face and razor-sharp wit, he shall be dearly missed by many in Alberta’s entertainment industry.
