It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our loving wife, mother and grandmother. Barbara passed away peacefully at home after a short illness.
Left to celebrate her life is her husband of over 58 years, Carl; her son Dorn (Stacey); and her daughter Terry, as well as grandchildren, Chelsea, Jenelle, Ryan and Joel.
Barb was born on the family farm near Mirror, Alberta. At the age of 18 years old she moved to Calgary where she met and married Carl in 1955. Mom spent many years working as a draftsperson in the oil and gas industry, as well as assisting Dad in their many business pursuits. Mom enjoyed her vegetable garden and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She delighted in cooking lunch for her son and husband giving them time to catch up on the business of the day.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date. Please forward condolences through www.hffs.com.
