Obituary of Margaret AKSENCHUK

Please share a memory of Margaret to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Margaret Aksenchuk, our wise Owl Mom, flew up to join her beloved mate Bill in the Great Tree of Eternity.

Margaret grew up in Beiseker and Entice, AB. She graduated from Calgary Normal School, and taught in Three Hills, Beiseker, Penhold and the Calgary Catholic School system. At Sacred Heart School, she met Bill, our loving Owl Dad.

Margaret was a patient and devoted parent with a playful sense of humor. She enjoyed reading, jigsaw puzzles, sewing, knitting, bowling at the Calgary Winter Club, playing accordion and piano, and dancing at the Royal Canadian Legion and Kerby Centre. Her greatest pleasure was quiet camping weekends with her husband Bill.

She is lovingly remembered by her children, Marybeth, Robert, Donald (Lisa), Thomas (Cynthia); grandchildren, Emily, Katrina, Charlotte and Gregory; and her Brent and Vesso nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband Bill, Margaret ascends to join parents Rosalie and Andrew and siblings Anna Vesso, Theresa Brent, Andrew, Howard, Mary and John Albert.

A Graveside Service will be held in Queens Park Cemetery, 3219 4 Street NW, Calgary, AB, on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. A reception will follow at the Calgary Crematorium and Funeral Services Chapel (within the valley of the Queen’s Park Cemetery)
