Obituary of Zofia PIATKOWSKI

The family of Zofia Maria Piatkowska announces her passing at the age of 97 at the Beverly Care Centre in Calgary, Alberta. Beloved mother and Nanny, Zofia was predeceased by her husband Ludwik (1980) and her first born son Albert (2010). She is lovingly remembered by her children and their spouses: Bobbi (Bob Braden), Zosia (Rick Ikebuchi) and Ludwik, as well as her daughter-in-law Rosemary. With pride in her growing family, she was affectionately known as Nanny to her eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Zofia was a force in the lives of those who love her. She continues to live in the hearts of her family as the lively and vital woman who felt the most joy when she was among them. Her determination and spirit continued into her final days. Sincere thanks to the staff at Walden Heights and especially to the staff of the Pumphill Unit at the Beverly Care Centre who worked diligently so that Zofia could rest comfortably through her last weeks. She will be laid to rest beside her husband Ludwik at Queen's Park Cemetery. A private celebration of Zofia's life will be determined at a later date. Please forward condolences through www.hffs.com.
