Irene, Robert and Duncan,
It is always difficult to know what to write when a loved one leaves our lives. Dolly was an amazing woman and friend.
Her kind, genuine spirit will certainly be missed. Dolly knitted a personalized Christmas stocking for all of my grandchildren, which will now be classed as heirlooms, something that can never be duplicated. My two sons, each had a beautiful knitted layette made for them when they were born, a long time ago as they are now both in their 40's. The layettes were lovingly used and have been treasured and carefully preserved. Her knitting skills were unparalleled and the finished articles were show pieces. My youngest son had the greatest honour of being her Godson and they developed a great relationship over the years. He will miss her dearly as we all will. Rest in peace Dolly, a life lived well.
