Obituary of Maryann Denice Barriault

Maryann passed away peacefully on September 5, 2018, after a short but heroic battle with cancer. She will be lovingly remembered by her many friends and family, her well-loved (and well-fed) companion Bob, and by every life she touched with her light.

 

She is predeceased by her father and mother, Bill and Margaret Beattie, and by her brothers Darrell, Dale and Rick.

 

Maryann enjoyed life, laughter and the sound of happy children, which she believed healed the souls of everyone around them. She also believed that growing old was inevitable, but growing up was an option; so she lived life with humour and took every opportunity to play and make people smile. She loved music and literature, always had a song in her heart and a story for anyone that would listen, whether on the bus, over a game of Scrabble, or over a good meal.

 

There will be a Celebration of life for Maryann at her home on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 1:00p.m. All who knew her are welcome.
