Obituary of Harold Victor Green

Harold Green passed away peacefully at age 92 in his Calgary home on Sept 20, 2018. He is survived by his children Valerie, William, James, Stephen and Donna, plus 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. During WWII and afterward, Harold proudly served Canada in Britain, Holland, Germany, and aboard the aircraft carrier HMCS Magnificent. Later he worked in electronics and communications, most recently with Telus. Harold was an expert fly fisherman. He played hockey and curled, coached community baseball and hockey, and followed NHL and CFL sports. As a single dad, his dedication to family was steadfast. He believed in higher learning, and subsidized university tuition for every one of his grandchildren.

 

A Celebration of life will be held at CALGARY CREMATORIUM CHAPEL, 3219 – 4th Street N.W., (within the valley of Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Friday, September 28, 2018 at 2:00 p.m.
