Hello Don,
My Mothe in Calgary is behind on reading her newspapers and just read Joanne’s obituary and called to tell me. Although we haven’t been in touch for a while, I often think of Joanne and wonder how she is doing. Her passing came as a shock and I regret not keeping in contact. We shared lots of memories throughout Kindergarten to Grade 12, and tennis lessons together after that. Joanne introduced me to golf and I had the pleasure of visiting your summer home on the Shuswap twice.
I am so very sorry for your loss. You have my deepest sympathy.

Dear Don and family
Our deepest condolences for you on the loss of Joanne. We have many fond memories of sharing music and meals with you at Naramata Centre. Our children remember Joanne as the lady who always asked how they liked math and what they were learning (all 3 kids like math!).
Take care of each other during this difficult time and celebrate Joanne's spirit of 'work hard for the things that are important'. A donation has been made in Joanne's memory with the Canadian Cancer Society.

Sorry to hear about Joanne’s passing. I remember fun times at her Mom ( Joanne’s Mom Gloria was my Mom Pearl’s sister) and Dad’s place when I was young. Hope Don and family remember the good times - they will always be there.

I am deeply saddened by the news of Joanne. It was truly an honour to know such a wonderful lady. She always took interest in my life and encouraged me to push myself as I imagine she did with her students. I will always be grateful of the memories I have with her at the lake. She will be missed.

To the Edie Family,
I'm so sorry for your loss. Although I only knew her for a short time, I always enjoyed visiting with Joanne when she and Don came out to get togethers at Colin and Alex's place. We are so sorry to hear of Joanne's passing. She was the heart and soul of Wellington Place and everyone whose lives she touched . We had so much fun over the years at the Wellington place block parties, especially when the kids were small . Joanne always made the most scrumptious desserts to contribute! Her laughter and joy will be sadly missed. I loved going over to their place especially in the summer to see all of her beautiful plants that she lovingly grew in all the flowerbeds. A gardener supreme !!
We will always remember her with great fondness.
