Obituary of Dorothy Esther BOOTH

Dorothy Esther Booth passed away peaceful on Tuesday November 6, 2018 in Calgary, Alberta. She was surrounded by her family.

 

Dorothy was born in Belfast, Ireland March 21, 1921. Her parents, Harry Woodside and Emma Woodside (Kilpatrick) immigrated to Canada when she was 3 years old.  Dorothy always loved sports and was an excellent athlete most of her adult life.  She married Ronald Booth in 1951.  Dorothy gave birth to their two sons in Toronto, and in 1961 the family moved to London Ontario. Dorothy found her calling as a secretary at Sir Isaac Brock Elementary school where she worked for twenty years and made many lifelong friends.

Dorothy is survived by her two sons Glenn Booth of Duncan, BC, and Gregory Booth (Sue Silverman), of Calgary, Alberta; her grandchildren Orion, Julah, Jarred and David Booth; and her sister Irene Emerson. 

 

Dorothy loved people and animals and they loved her.  She will be deeply missed by all of her family and friends who had the honor of knowing her.
