Obituary of Patricia Elaine Gray

Patricia Elaine Gray of Calgary, AB, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 08, 2019 at the age of 73 years, after a short illness.

Patricia is survived by her daughter, Lorelei Mariano, of Orange County, California, two grandchildren, Kyle Nelson and Sage Nelson, also of California; brother, Brian White (Cynthia) of Courtenay, BC, her sister Jackie Watt (John) of Calgary, AB, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

She was predeceased by her late husband, Peter Gray.

Pat was born in London, England, the child of Jack White, a Canadian World War II veteran and Rose Hamel, his Irish war bride. Pat grew up and spent most of her life in Calgary. She was known for her terrific disposition, kind heart, good humor, and phenomenal memory of past events and fine details. Pat never had a harsh word to say to or about anyone or anything, and to know her was to enjoy her company.

We are eternally grateful to Gloria Mensah and her staff at the Globeas Lodge Group Home, where Pat lived happily in her final years.

In accordance with Pat’s wishes, there will be no memorial service.
