Obituary of Dorothy LORIMER

Dorothy peacefully slipped away with her family at her side at the age of 80 years. Dorothy was raised on a farm at Shepard, Alberta. In 1954 she married the love of her life, Gary. She loved living in Calgary, but also enjoyed spending time in Arizona and Tie Lake, B.C. In the winter she sewed many quilts for her children, grandchildren and also for the Children’s Cottage. She embraced life fully and has now gone on to yet another adventure. Always loved, always missed. She leaves behind her husband Gary of 60 years, daughters Joni (Bryce) Wright, Cathi (Barry) Ferguson and Trudi (Marc) Lorimer; eight grandchildren; her sisters, Marilyn (Louis) Cleveland, Donna (Keith) Gosling, Carol (George) Howden; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Laurence and Mabel Doolittle. As per Dorothy’s request a Gathering will be held at the Highwood Community Hall, 10 Harlow Avenue NW, Calgary, between 2:00 to 4:00 pm, Saturday, February 8, 2014.
