Obituary of Judy E. A. SCHOCK

Please share a memory of Judy to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and oma, Judy Elizabeth Anne Schock, on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at the age of 72.

Judy was born in Calgary, Alberta on June 12, 1946 to Lowell and Elizabeth Anne Guss in Calgary, Alberta. She was their only child.

Judy cherished and loved to fill her grandchildren’s lives with love, joy and laughter. Each and every time she had an opportunity to spoil them, love them and support them, she was there. She was very proud of each of their unique and individual personalities and talents. She found it amazing to see them grow up, mature and develop into the young adults they have become.

Judy loved to visit the island of Maui. Every opportunity she and Randy had to visit the island would create wonderful memories and bring a smile to her face.  In addition to her love of her family and Hawaii, Judy also adored hummingbirds and gerbera daisies.  Seeing either of these will forever make us lovingly think of her.

Judy will be sorely missed and remembered by her loving husband of 39 years Reinhold (Randy) Schock, her son Timothy (Tammy) Dutton; her daughters Bette (Roger) Burton; Brenda Schock (Paul) and four grandchildren, Evan and Sara Dutton and Nathan and Mitchell Burton.

Judy was predeceased by her parents.

A Memorial Service will be held at CALGARY CREMATORIUM CHAPEL, 3219 – 4th Street NW, (within the valley of Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Friday, May 24, 2019 at 2:00 p.m.  A reception will follow at the funeral home.

If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Kidney Foundation of Canada, 6007 – 1A Street S.W., Calgary, AB T2H 0G5 Telephone: (403) 255-6108, www.kidney.ca.
