Obituary of John Duncan Gerard WALLACE
John Wallace beloved husband of Dael Wallace (nee Murray) of Calgary, passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at the age of 63 years.
John was born in Harare, Zimbabwe on March 20, 1956. He moved to Calgary in 1997 with his family having emigrated from Durban, South Africa.
John graduated from Michealhouse in 1974 and went onto the University of Pietermaritzburg with a degree in English and Psychology.
John had a passion for his family and finding creative ways to tinker with anything he could find. He enjoyed spending time by the sea especially when he could go out fishing or snorkeling.
He will be most remembered for his light heartedness and seeing the best in everything even if he had a direct approach to it. He always provided a lot of entertainment for his family.
John will be dearly missed by his many family and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at CALGARY CREMATORIUM CHAPEL, 3219 – 4th Street NW, (within the valley of Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. Reception to follow at the funeral home.
