Obituary of Robert James Phillips
Robert (“Rob”, “Robbie”) James Phillips, 52 of Calgary, Alberta, sadly, passed away on June 11, 2019 in Calgary, Alberta
Robert was born in Fort Churchill, Manitoba to Doreen and Raymond M. Phillips on January 11, 1967. Later that year his family moved from Rankin Inlet, NWT to Calgary, Alberta. He went to School in Calgary attending St. Thomas Aquinas Elementary, St. Gregory Junior High and St. Mary's High School. He worked various jobs including Survey work in the Seismic Industry until an unfortunate accident rendered him unable to work. Robert enjoyed golfing, listening to music, gardening, watching mystery and sci-fi movies and reading anything related to scientific discoveries as well as spending time with his family and friends and his best fur friend Danny.
Robert is survived by his Mother and Father, Doreen and Raymond M. Phillips of Vernon, B.C.; his siblings, Paula Sheppard (Bruce) of Victoria, B.C., Gary Phillips (Debbie) of Crystal, Minnesota, Donna Wozni of Calgary and Terry Phillips of Calgary; his Nieces and Nephews, Jason Simms (Francie), Al Simms, Elizabeth Simms, Micheal Phillips, Amanda Phillips, Sid Cat, Josie Phillips and Teryl Phillips as well great nephews Jacob Mcleod, Alex and Niko Simms and numerous extended family and friends.
A Private Celebration of Life for family and close friends will be held at the Calgary Crematorium and Funeral Services, 3219 - 4th Street N.W., Calgary, Alberta on June 26, 2019 at 2:00PM.
