Obituary of Sandeep DHESI

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sandeep Dhesi "Sunny," beloved son, brother, uncle and friend whose life was tragically cut short at age 35.

Sunny was born July 16, 1983 in Calgary, AB. He graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Commerce degree and later completed a CPA designation. Sunny moved to Toronto to further his education and received a certification in Entertainment Law from York University. Sunny was employed by CBC Television as Manager, Finance & Administration. Sunny recently took on a new challenge at Entertainment One as Manager, Financial Analysis until the time of his passing.

Sunny enjoyed politics and always loved a good debate. He was well read and appreciated a good novel. He enjoyed fitness and could always be found at the gym. He was very passionate about travelling. He made it a point to explore as much of the world as possible. Sunny’s most recent trips included Greece and Croatia. As much as Sunny loved to travel, he loved his city Toronto and was passionate about his home team, the Raptors.

Sunny always put a smile on everyone’s face with his jokes and light hearted attitude. He left a lasting impression on everyone he met and his memories will live on with everyone that was fortunate to know him. His eternal optimism and joy of life will be missed by all. Sunny was a special son, brother and uncle whose love of family and friends will be cherished forever.

Sunny leaves behind his loving mother Satwant; brother Mandeep (Melissa), sister Maneet (Harminder), and his adoring nephews Sahil, Veer and his niece Simran. He will also be lovingly remembered by all extended family in Canada, England and the United States as well as his very close friends in Toronto.

Sunny was predeceased by his father Surinder.

Funeral Services will be held at CALGARY CREMATORIUM CHAPEL, 3219 – 4th Street N.W., (within the valley of Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Saturday, June 29, 2019 at 10:00 a.m.
