Peggy Thorburn of Calgary, in the presence of family members, passed away peacefully on Saturday January 25, 2014 at the age of 80 years.
Having been born, raised, and lived in the Calgary area for most of her life, Peggy later moved to Claresholm Alberta where she resided and enjoyed the small town life for the last eleven years.
Her love of family and friends was her driving force in life. First in her thoughts was always her five sons who will miss her so very much, John (Donna), Steve (Nola), Mike, Chris (Gayle) and Russ (Maralee).
Peggy was also greatly loved and will be sadly missed by her eight grandchildren Kelly (Janice), Krista, Kyle (Jolene), Ben, Sam, Sarah, Clark and Jayce, and her three great- grandchildren who affectionately called her GG, Brook, Kayla and Karson.
Peggy leaves behind her loved sister and brothers, Audrey Schott (Karl), Gerald Moore (Claudette), David Moore and Edward Moore, as well as many nieces, nephews and close friends. All of whom will miss her energy and bright personality.
Peggy was predeceased by her parents George and Bessie Moore.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Memorial Gathering to honour Peggys life at CALGARY CREMATORIUM CHAPEL, 3219 4th Street N.W., (within the valley of Queens Park Cemetery) on Friday, February 14, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.hffs.com.
