Obituary of Edith Mary Cordick
Edith Mary Cordick (nee Bowman) Calgary, Alberta, passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at St. Teresa Covenant Care in Calgary, Alberta at the age of 90 years.
Edith was born in Calgary, Alberta on March 5, 1929.
She was raised in Calgary, AB, Elk Valley, BC and Bowness, AB.
Edith married Verlin Cordick in April 1948.
Edith is survived by her two children and their spouses, Verlena (Gene) Carruthers and Rodney (Donna) Cordick; two grandchildren, Jason Carruthers and Tammy (Rob) Sutherland; five great grandchildren, Austin, Brianna and Claire Carruthers, Jessica and Ashley Sutherland. Edith is also survived by her three sisters, Norma Lockwood of Kelowna, BC, Margaret Laux of Brooks, AB and Terry Sansome of Medicine Hat, AB.
Edith was predeceased by her husband of 52 years Verlin in 2000, brother Gordon Bowman and sister Gwen Irwin.
As per Edi’s request there will be no public funeral.
