Obituary of Norman Wilbur Kaake

Norm, beloved husband of Lois Kaake, of Calgary AB went to be with his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on Monday, September 9, 2019 at the age of 86 years.  Norm was born in Fox Point, Ontario on April 1, 1933. 

 

He graduated from NAIT with a Masters in Sheet Metal Mechanics and Air Conditioning. He was a successful entrepreneur and started two companies, Westwinds Sheet Metal in 1963 and Western Ventilation Products Ltd in 1964. Norm retired at 75 years of age in 2008. 

 

Norm treasured his family and his relationship with his Lord. He loved attending Rockpointe Church and grew in his Christian faith with the small group lead by Rob and Zelie Stroud. Norm was a gentle giant who showed kindness and compassion to everyone he met and his friendliness will be missed by his neighbours in the Sierra’s apartments. 

 

Norm is survived by his loving spouse Lois (nee Harmel);two brothers, Maurice (Julie) and Ken (Susan) ;children Debra (Dave), Bonnie (Keith), Brent (Deborah), and Susan.  He is loved dearly by eleven grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.

 

He is predeceased by his daughter Beverly (Allen), parents Wilbur and Caroline, brother George (Irene), and sister Shirley (Don). 

 

 

The family are deeply grateful to Dr. Romana and the staff of Bow View Manor for their loving care of Norm.
