Peter, my thoughts are with you as you adjust to a world without your mother. She was a warm and gracious person, a strong and intelligent woman. She helped me through a rough time with a city manager who was just sure he knew all the answers. Thankfully, she DID know all the answers, many of which helped me through mine field after mine field. I liked her humor, her adoration of you and your dad, and her innate ability to impart knowledge to those of us who needed it. She was, simply, an amazing woman. The world is s lesser place with her passing. Cynthia Cowell, Baton Rouge, Louisiana

Tony and I want to express our sincere condolences at Joan's passing. We knew Joan through her husband Adi, who was a member of the Whistler Mountain Volunteer Ski Patrol. Adi was an enthusiastic and energetic member, but we also enjoyed Joan's quite wit, and the two boys.
I often attend the local library, and often think of Joan when I'm using the computer system there, as I remember she was the one who first installed the system.

Yvonne and I would like to send our condolences to Peter, Mark and their families for their loss. We have such great affection and admiration for Joan and Adi. We will always remember the fun times together: on the mountain; by the lovely lakes of the interior; and in their home, enjoying fabulous, laugh filled dinners and evenings. Joan always did everything perfectly and stayed gracious throughout - aided considerably by her gentle sense of humour. We feel a great loss with her passing.
