Obituary of Sharon Darlene Carrier

Sharon Carrier of Calgary, passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2019 at the age of 67 years surrounded by her family & friends.

 

Sharon was born in Vancouver, BC on January 6, 1952.

 

Sharon accomplished much through her life and was particularly proud of her relationships with friends and family.

She was a member of the Alberta Special Olympics bowling. Sharon also was an active participant in the day program at Resourceful Futures Community Support Ltd.

 

Sharon most enjoyed her bowling and Special Olympics Saturday night dances.  She also enjoyed any reason for family or friends to get together especially for birthdays and at holidays. Her greatest enjoyment came in her weekly trips with her best friend and roommate Helen to Tim Hortons for their tea and Timbit dates.

 

She will be most remembered for her happiness and contagious smile and positive outlook on life.

 

Sharon is survived by her brother Wayne Carrier and sister-in-law Sue Frechette; nephew Ben Carrier and niece in-law Maria Cristofaro; grand-nephew Caleb Carrier; caregiver Shelly Nedoborski as well as numerous support workers and friends through Special Olympics bowling and Resourceful Futures Community Support Ltd.

 

Sharon is predeceased by her mother Edna Carrier (Morasch) 1997, father Henry Carrier 2013, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Resourceful Futures, 2918 3 Ave. NE on Friday, October 11, 2019 at 1:00p.m.
