Obituary of Karl Starker
Karl, beloved husband of the Late Florence Ruth Starker (nee Clark) of Calgary, AB, passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at the age of 85 years.
In 1951, Karl immigrated to Canada with his family. He was a proud Sheet Metal Worker in Calgary from 1955 – 1998. In his leisure time, he enjoyed gardening, woodworking and carving, as well as travelling with his wife, Ruth. He was also part of the Montgomery Community Association, and in later years, became a member of the Calgary Sheet Metal Old Timers.
Karl is survived by his sons, Greg (Liz), Brett (Sharon), and Andy (Lynn); his grandchildren, Devin, Logan, Matt, Quinn, Alexandra, and Colton; his nephew, Gunter (Helen). He will also be missed by many other family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at CALGARY CREMATORIUM CHAPEL, 3219 – 4th Street NW, (within the valley of Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. Reception to follow at the funeral home.
