Walter Parker of Calgary, passed away on Monday, February 17, 2014 at the age of 90 years. Walter was born January 17, 1924 in Edmonton, AB. Following his education, Wally enlisted with the Royal Canadian Navy and served overseas from 1943-1945. Upon his return home, Wally began a business delivering fresh eggs. Over the years he became best known as “Wally the Egg Man”. Wally loved life and people. He was a member of the #238 Bowness Legion and loved to play crib and pool. He was a proud father and grandfather, and especially enjoyed being with his family. Walter is survived by his loving daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Dave Glover; son, Brian Parker; Grandchildren, Jonathan, Jason, Jordan Glover and Travis Parker; Great-grandchildren, Carter and Zoey. Brother, Howard Parker as well as several friends. He was predeceased by his wife, Doris Parker and sister Winnifred Parker. A Graveside Service will take place on Friday, April 25, 2014 at 1:00pm at Queen's Park Cemetery (3219 - 4th Street NW). In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Canadian Cancer Society, 200 – 325 Manning Rd. N.E.
