Obituary of Robert Arthur SMART
Robert Arthur Smart of Langdon, beloved husband of 61 years to Patsy Smart, passed away peacefully at South Calgary Hospital on Monday, October 21st, 2019 at the age of 89.
Besides his wife, Robert is survived by four sons and two daughters-in-law; Neil and Joanne Smart of Calgary, Greg Smart, Brian and Jeneffer Smart, and Darren Smart of Langdon; eight grandchildren; Shanna (Jimmy), Kyle (Nikki), Danielle (Dylan), Karson (Chantel), Angela, Ryan, Robertson, and Conner; as well as four great-grandchildren; Ella, Emily, Koleton, and Isaac.
He was predeceased by his brothers, Sydney and Kenneth, and parents Alice and Arthur.
Robert will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his family, relatives, many friends, and an entire community in which he lived his full life.
“I have only slipped away into the next room. I am I, you are you, and the old life that we lived so fondly together is untouched, unchanged. Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes that we enjoyed together. Play, smile, think of me, pray for me.”
Family and friends of Robert are welcome to attend a Celebration of Life at Boulder Creek Golf Course in Langdon, AB on Friday October 25th, 2019 from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
