Obituary of Brian Barker

The Barker racing team has made its last pit stop; Brian “Barks” Barker of Calgary, passed away on Friday, November 1, 2019 at the age of 60 years.

 

He was one the “creeps and bums” as Ontarians were called when he moved out west in 1980, where he fell in love with Alberta and never left. His generosity, loyalty, hardworking, independent spirit will be missed by his many “families”; his Dusty’s Saloon family, his Calgary Italian Bakery family, his NASCAR and racing family and his actual family and friends.

 

Brian is survived by his sister Sue (Ian); his brother Terry Phillips (Mary); his son Brian and his ex-wife Joanne (Wayne).

 

Brian is predeceased by his parents Norma and Orval Barker (Muskoka).

 

Keep your shiny side up and your rubber side down and keep it between the trees, Barks.
