Obituary of Louise Hlasny
Louise Hlasny (nee Persinger), beloved wife of the Late Louis Hlasny of Calgary, passed away while on a vacation in Nova Scotia on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at the age of 83 years.
Born in Didsbury, Alberta on March 13, 1936, Louise was a devoted housewife to her late husband Louis for fifty-five years. She loved to camp and spend time with her children. She also loved spending time with her extended family and friends.
She is survived by her three loving children, Darcy (Rhonda) Hlasny, Dalene (Ronald) Whitehead, and Cathy (Gerry) Rasmussen. She will also be missed dearly by her four step-children, numerous grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Louise is also survived by her sisters, Mary Bell and Jean Merkl; brothers, Howard (Eileen) Persinger and Jack (Doreen) Persinger; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Louise was predeceased by her loving husband, Louis Hlasny, and by her parents.
A Memorial Service will be held at CALGARY CREMATORIUM CHAPEL, 3219 – 4th Street NW, (within the valley of Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Sunday, January 19, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. Reception to follow in the reception room at the Funeral Home.
