Obituary of Pat Gregory

Pat, beloved wife of the late Eric Gregory of Calgary, passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at the age of 94 years.

Pat married Eric in 1945 and immigrated to Canada with him and two young daughters at the age of 33. She enjoyed a long career, first as a credit manager with Lewis Stationery, then as evening supervisor in Admitting at the Holy Cross Hospital.

After retiring in 1993 she became very active at St. Barnabas Anglican Church as President of the Altar Guild, and Director of Weddings and Funerals.

Pat loved gardening, playing the piano and organ, flower arranging, and spending time with her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Pat is survived by her two daughters and two sons-in-law, Sandra Loy and Cody Loy of Edmonton, Kathryn Starkey and John Last of Calgary; four grandchildren, Jacqueline Thompson (Mike) of Edmonton, Ian Allen (Melanie) of Edmonton, Dominique Starkey of Calgary and Alex Starkey of Red Deer; four great-grandchildren, Kaden and Kyra Tymchuk, Mitchell and Isabella Provence. She is also survived by her nephews Peter, Michael and David Cannings, Gregory Fowler; and one niece Christine Paget, and their families,  all living in England.

Patricia was predeceased by her loving husband Eric and great-grandson, William Provence.

A Memorial Service will be held at St. Barnabas Anglican Church, 1407 – 7th Avenue NW on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. Please join us for a reception in the lower church hall.

Pat was very fortunate to spend her last two years at Age Care SkyPointe, where she received wonderful, loving care from the care team on Sunridge, 2 East. We would like to thank Case Manager Stephanie and Dr. Shereen Nessim who patiently listened to and supported us in ensuring that Pat was comfortable and pain free in her final days.
