Obituary of Anneliese Bohnsack

BOHNSACK, Anneliese Maria (nee Alke) January 11, 1925 – Einbeck, Germany March 3, 2014 – Calgary, Alberta Anneliese Bohnsack of Calgary passed away on Monday, March 3, 2014 at the age of 89 years. Anneliese was born in Einbeck, Germany, immigrating to Calgary in 1955. Anneliese began her career at the Foothills Hospital along side her good friend, Marian George, until her retirement. Anneliese was an active Member of the German Canadian Club of Calgary when it was located in Bowness along with her husband Heinz. In her retirement she was a member of the Bowness Seniors’ Centre where she made many friends. Anneliese is survived by her loving son Jurgen Bohnsack; niece, Hanni Freynick of Einbeck, Germany; and nephews, Helmut, Roland and Mark Hilger. She was predeceased by her husband, Heinz on September 24, 1992; sister and brother-in-law, Frieda and Erich Emmel of Einbeck, Germany; brother-in-law, Kurt Bohnsack and sisters-in-law, Hildegard Bohnsack and Ilse Jezirony.
