Obituary of Martyn Trevor Spurgeon

SPURGEON – Martyn Trevor

 

It is with great sadness that the family of Martyn Spurgeon, beloved husband of Deborah of Calgary, announces his passing on Thursday, February 13, 2020 at the age of 58 years.

 

Martyn was a devoted husband, father, brother and uncle. He was a quiet gentle soul, kind, generous, loyal and occasionally impatient. We take comfort he is now with God, his soul experiencing new adventure, free of cancer and pain.

 

Martyn leaves his wife Deborah and son Adam to continue this life’s journey. He will be fondly remembered by siblings, Dave (Nell), Jackie, Ray; sister-in-law Corrina; several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. 

 

Martyn’s wish for you is to create a joyful memory with your family, raise a glass and make a toast in memory, and cheer for the Flames and Stampeders.   A Private Family Graveside Service will be held at Queen’s Park Cemetery in the spring.
