Obituary of Patricia Katherine Minchin

Patricia, beloved wife of the Late John Archibald Minchin of Calgary, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at the age of 101 years.

 

Patty had a full and active life. She started her married life in Edmonton and later moved to Calgary, where she and Jack raised their three children. They kept actively involved in the Calgary community, including the oil industry and the Glencoe Club.

 

She will be deeply missed by her son John (Jeannie) Minchin; daughter Janenne Stanger; and eight grandchildren, John G., Cameron, Sarah, Thomas, Brittany, John D., Scott and Dan.

 

Patty was predeceased by her husband Jack Minchin and her eldest daughter Bonnie Inch.

 

A private family gathering to celebrate Patty’s life will be arranged later in the year.

 

The family would like to thank the staff of Boxwood Community in Providence Care Centre for their compassion and exceptional care of Patty over the past three years.
