I've known Randy for about 40 years and have lots of fond memories of the times spent with him. One of those was the daily after-supper walks to the local 7-11 store with Randy my brother and me, each of us with a red slurpee cup that was so big it looked more like some kind of cooking pot than a slurpee mug. Afterwards we would often go to Randy's house and debate which piece of software or hardware we should install or, if we'd already installed something, discuss what the best way was to configure it. I think the deliberations were more important to us than the computer's operation was.
Any spare time we had during our university days was spent playing racquetball and, after we were done, we all headed over to A&W to balance out those burned off calories with a basket of onion rings, a burger and a big mug of frosty root beer. It was one of those rituals we all looked forward to and wouldn't have given up for anything.
When the summer was in full swing, all of our friends would get together to play softball. I think we all remember Randy's "graceful" leaps over the fence to get that baseball that somehow managed to go astray.
I'll miss Randy but I'll always have good memories of the times spent with him.
My condolences go out to his family.

Wow ....... Randy and I go Way Way BACK.......Junior High days!! I remember the times spent in the school library debating about things throughout history........my first time over at your house n discovering that you had a pool table and the Vast amount of model KITS !!! Those occasions that we spent New Years Eve with your family n just gabbing n shooting pool all night long. The big ping pong tournaments over at my house along with countless hours playing with the Atari games !!
I soooo remember that Trip that the 4 of us took to DISNEYLAND!! You, Jerry, Trevor n I desending into LA when they are experiencing a Heat wave in late September. All of you guys making me drive the rental car because traffic was nuts down there n I have my get out of Jail free card ! How you guys thought I was nuts to go on that Its Small World ride, than you all realized that it's on a boat n we were all standing in 109 degrees in the park ! I will not mention the escapades that took place when we ventured into Tijuana as you consumed Margaritas after margaritas in the afternoon heat. As promised we shall never ever mention that mad dash back to the hotel after a stop for breakfast at IHOP in San Diego n we sampled my first experience with Buck Wheat pancakes.
I thank you (n Trevor) for letting me enjoy my 1st pouch of Clint Eastwood's and than kicking me out of your room to finish smoking them on the deck of the hotel. I thank you for coming out to Softball as we played on the diamonds n you earned your title of Running Gazelle!!! I thank you for those countless days where we were in University n spending our lunch time in Mac Hall. Thank you for all these memories !!
LASTLY, I thank you for being My Friend !! I will miss you !! Tonight....... I shall raise a Bombay Sapphire (i will not mention venom sack of the cobra) to you !!!

I've known Randy since school days and, over the years, had countless good times with him - from hanging out in his parents' basement listening to music, to playing Uno in my parents' basement with 'the gang', playing baseball on sunny summer days, and walking down for Slurpees everyday after dinner. I have nothing but good memories of him and his fun-loving, kind spirit! Randy, I will always remember you - you hold a special place in my heart.
